Many of the issues that come before Parliament are complex. The Parliament divides itself into smaller groups, called Committees, so that they can look into issues in detail. Committees are made up of different Members of Parliament.
Committees regularly call for public submissions – Committees want you to share your ideas. Anyone can provide a written submission to a Committee – there is no age limit. This is a great way to participate in our democracy, and helps Members of Parliament hear a range of ideas.
