Schubert Electorate Regional Programs

Experience the Parliament from your classroom.

As part of our regional education program, the Community Education Office and the Electoral Commission of South Australia are conducting day trips to schools in the Schubert electoral district over 23-27 June 2025.

Schubert schools can express their interest in a program.

Regional Program EOI

The program runs for approximately 2 hours.

ECSA’s 45-60 minute section involves:

• Administering elections: the role of ECSA, stages in an election
• Participating in democracy: enrolling to vote, being informed and voting responsibly
• Exploring the features of Australian elections: secret ballot, compulsory voting, preferential voting
• A mock election
• How government is formed

Parliament’s 45-60 minute section involves:

• Learning about the levels of government
• Learning about the structure and functions of the Parliament of South Australia
• A role play of how to make/change laws – including props and supplies to recreate the Parliamentary Chambers
• Ideas of how to get involved and have a say
