These Terms and Conditions (Conditions) apply to purchases from the Parliament of SA Online Store via this website. Please also see our Privacy, Shipping and Delivery and Returns and Refunds policies.  

These Conditions (which we publish on this website) will apply to an order that has been accepted by us. We may from time to time change these Conditions, in which case the new or amended Conditions will apply to all orders placed after we have published them on this website. It is your responsibility to check if these Conditions have changed before placing an order.  

2. Products and product descriptions 

All items are advertised for sale in good faith and Parliament of SA Online Store will use due care and skill in packaging and dispatching purchases to you. 

Products may vary slightly from the images on our website. The images of the products on our website are for illustrative purposes only. Although we have made every effort to display colours accurately, we cannot guarantee that the display of colour on your monitor or screen accurately reflects the colour of the products. 

Product information is subject to change without notice. We make every effort to present the most recent, most accurate, and most reliable information at all times. There may, however, be occasions when some of the information featured on our website contains incomplete data, typographical errors or inaccuracies. Any errors are wholly unintentional, and we endeavour to avoid erroneous information being reflected in product prices, item availability or in any way affecting your individual order. 

Product packaging may vary from that shown in images on our website. 

3. Sizes 

Size information is provided as a guide only. 

4. Orders 

When making an order you must provide all information required by the online order form. 

All prices, taxes, the volume of items and any other details included on the online order form apply to your purchase.  

Parliament of SA Online Store will send your purchase and any communications to the contact details you provide on the order form and will not be responsible for any errors in this information. 

Parliament of SA Online Store will send an email confirming your order and receipt of payment to the email address you provide. 

5. Pricing 

All prices are in Australian dollars. 

Payment of the correct price must accompany all orders. Prices are subject to change without notice, however you will only pay the price that is advertised for the item at the time you place your order.  

Online pricing may differ from prices available in the physical Parliament of SA Store located in Parliament House, Adelaide SA. 

Items advertised as ‘on-sale’ are only available at the reduced price during the sale period. 

6. Taxes 

Prices published on Parliament of SA Online Store online include Australian Goods and Services Tax (GST).  

7. Postage 

Postage charges are generally based on the weight of items you have ordered and the delivery method selected. Parliament of SA Online Store may, at its discretion, charge a flat rate for postage of particular items.  

All items are sent via Australia Post. 

Parliament of SA Online Store is not liable for any missing products and is unable to refund items lost in transit. 

8. Delivery 

Orders will be typically dispatched within five working days of purchase. However, some orders may be delayed due to unexpected demand or restocking issues or other factors out of the control of Parliament of SA Online Store.  

You will be sent a notification email once your order has been dispatched.

9. Cancellation 

Once you have placed your order, we will be unable to cancel, remove, add or make changes to your order.  

Parliament of SA Online Store may cancel your order if an item is unavailable or if there is an error with the price, item description or in the order. 

Before cancelling your order, Parliament of SA Online Store will make reasonable attempts to notify you of its intention to cancel your order. Upon cancellation, Parliament of SA Online Store will refund your payment.  

10. Refunds, returns and exchanges 

Parliament of SA Online Store will refund or exchange purchases (including any delivery and packaging charges) if the item purchased is defective, if Parliament of SA Online Store supplied the incorrect item, or if under Australian law you are otherwise entitled to a refund for the item. 

Parliament of SA Online Store will refund your payment if the item you purchased is unavailable.

11. Exclusion and limitation of liability 

To the maximum extent permitted by Australian law, Parliament of SA Online Store excludes all liability to any person for loss or damage of any kind (however caused, including by negligence) arising in relation to or from any material on this website, any use of the website, or in connection with the supply or failure to supply items via Parliament of SA Online Store online. 

Where any law imposes a guarantee in relation to these Conditions which may not lawfully be excluded, then to the maximum extent permitted by law, Parliament of SA Online Store’s liability for breach of the guarantee will, at Parliament of SA Online Store’s option, be limited to the re-supply of the purchased item(s), or the payment of the cost of having them supplied again. 

The functions of Parliament of SA Online Store online may sometimes be interrupted by server outage or technological problems. While Parliament of SA Online Store will make reasonable efforts to ensure continuous online services, Parliament of SA Online Store does not accept any responsibility for any inconvenience or consequences affecting your order, including the loss of your order. 

12. Governing law and enforceability 

In purchasing items via Parliament of SA Online Store online, you agree that the terms of that purchase are governed by the laws of South Australia and you submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of that state.  

13. Security 

Parliament of SA Online Store uses a contracted service provider (WooCommerce and Stripe) to securely process your online credit card payments.  

When you purchase an item from Parliament of SA Online Store online your credit card details are only processed by Parliament of SA Online Store’s contracted service provider and Parliament of SA Online Store does not record or store this information.   

While Parliament of SA Online Store contracts with a service provider to provide a secure system, Parliament of SA Online Store does not and cannot take responsibility for the security of information. 

14. Personal Information 

Parliament of SA Online Store uses a third-party provider, WooCommerce, to collect personal information when you make a purchase via Parliament of SA Online Store online. Your personal information is collected for the purposes of fulfilling your order and, if you have requested to receive newsletters or other information about Australian Parliament House, to provide you with that information.  

Parliament of SA Online Store may disclose your personal information to Australia Post for the purposes of delivering your order. Parliament of SA Online Store also retains your order details (but not credit card details) in a secure system to help manage any returns, refunds or exchanges.   

Parliament of SA Online Store collects and uses your personal information under the terms of our Privacy Policy. Amongst other things, the Privacy Policy details how you can access and correct your personal information or make a complaint if you think Parliament of SA Online Store may have breached your privacy.  

The Privacy Policy can be accessed from the footer of the main pages of the Community Education Office Website, including the homepage. You must read the Privacy Policy.  

In this clause, ‘personal information’ means information or an opinion about an identified individual, or an individual who is reasonably identifiable, whether true or not, and whether recorded in a material form or not (see Privacy Act 1998 (Cth)). 

15. Intellectual Property Rights 

The intellectual property rights in any designs, drawings, models, materials, and the like furnished by us will remain our property. Neither they, nor other products produced using them, may be (a) given to third parties without our permission; (b) used by third parties or used for advertising purposes. Any such conduct entitles us to seek compensation from you and any third-party infringer.
