The Community Education Office offers custom programs for university students in teaching, law, and politics courses, and other related disciplines.
We can customise a program to suit the needs of your learners. As a base, we tour through both Houses of Parliament, the Old Chamber, and cover the passage of a Bill.
As examples of custom programs, we can offer:
- Teaching: best practice pedagogy for Civics & Citizenship, with activity demonstrations and links to the Australian Curriculum
- Politics: Chamber layouts, the roles of different people in Parliament, how to use Hansard
- Law: Detailed run-through of statutory lawmaking in SA, statutory interpretation, and Constitutional structures re. separation of powers and the division of powers
- Public accounting and accountability: highlighting the scrutiny function of the Parliament
