Teaching history through Parliamentary Debate.

Join in for an interactive session with the Parliament of SA as part of the History Teachers’ Association annual conference. This session involves recreating the 1894 parliamentary debates around granting women the right to vote and the right to run for SA Parliament.  Practice how this activity could be delivered in class, and get tips on how to link the 1894 suffrage story to contemporary issues (e.g. lowering the voting age to 16).
