New Teaching Resources from the Parliament of SA 2 May 2024 4.00-5.00pm – ONLINE
Participate in a practical session to try new digital and downloadable resources from the Parliament of South Australia – including virtual reality tools, sorting games and more.
Teacher Talk: “Committees and Parliamentary Scrutiny” with Tyson Wood – University Senior College 16 May 2024 4-5pm – ONLINE
Join Tyson Wood for a walk-through of teaching committees & parliamentary scrutiny. Tyson will discuss the background and prep for a lesson on this topic, the resources required, lesson set up, intended student outcomes and the associated task. This session suits senior secondary teachers.
Teacher Talk: “Bringing the World Into the Classroom – Practical Activities for Teaching Civics” with Danielle Cioffi – Cedar College 23 May 2024 4-5pm – ONLINE
Danielle will share tried and tested activities for engaging students in Civics from years 7-10, each with a focus on brining the real world into the classroom.

Prospect North Primary School will step through their student Parliament model and how it encourages student agency within the site.
Teacher Talk: “Change makers for Community!” with Port Neill Primary School 13 June 2023 4-5pm – ONLINE
Port Neill Primary School will share the journey of their Community Connections program: why this program started, how it has developed to result in partnering with a social entrepreneur, solving a community recycling issue and having a positive impact on the environment and wider community – all while developing students skills and capabilities.
